IEC College of Engineering & Technology has started the 2023 placement drive. Till now, 50% of the participating batch have already been placed. Earlier in the 2022 placement drive, the participating batch achieved 97% placements. 207 students from different courses were placed. Students received an average salary of INR 4 LPA.
Placements 2022 saw a participation of 400+ recruiters. Some of the participating recruiters are Wipro, GNAP, NewGen, Nagarro, Deloitte etc.

- Total Fees (approximate): 1,10,000
- Eligibility: Rank Holders in JEE Main/HPCET with a minimum of 45% or equivalent in 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. Additionally, candidates can choose Chemistry, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Biology, or Technical Vocational Subjects. A relaxation to 40% may apply to SC/ST candidates.

Master of Business Administration degree is available in Himachal Pradesh's IEC University. The programme is for two years. The cost of IEC University's MBA programme is INR 1,81,900. A graduation degree from any stream or passing an equivalent test with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for SC/ST students) is required for admission to the MBA programme.

regards MBA courses at Each college heres a quick brief
- at MMU solan you can get avg 14 Lpa
- at IEC solan the highest package is around 22 LPA (at greater noida campus ).
- MMU has a better brand overall
- placements opportunities at both is just avg
- placements do take an edge over in MMU
- while the placements are variable in IEC

placements comparison civil vs CSE at (IEC University B.Tech).
- there are dcent no of companies across the board
- opprtinities are always better in techinical genres
- civil is comparitively lighter compared to CSE in normal studies if you have good knowledge in physics and alll
- the scope of placements are just better in CSE
- the avg You can get is about 6-7 in CSE
- for Civil the avg may drop drastically
- in civil its bit tough to touch 7-8 Lacs while in Cse its far more superiors
- depend upon the spectrum of knowledge
- If you are interested in core branch then seek for civil it has loty more practical userbase
- again the factor of CSE d

heres all the information regarding IEC university ( specifically placements)
1.AVG packages sticks around 5-6 LPA.
2.the highest package is around 10-12 LPA
3.80-90 percent of student gets placed.
4.top recruiters are Honda, Ibm, Tcs, Hyatt regency, Vardhman, Tvs, Paras Hospitals etc.
5. median package is likely to be around 3-4 lakhs.
6.Could be good in opportunities.
overall the placements are just decent enough.
they do provide opportunities to score over and what matters is to maintain,
a good score just to get through the exams and to prepare an experience over theory,
which fits true for any other colleges these days j

comparing both the colleges here are the points to be noted down
1.NIT themselves are brand
2. they are runned by govts fund
3.You always gonna find better palcement opportunities in an NIT and reputed gfti over other colleges
4.comparing over iec the avg package thier is about twice or thrice thir avg package
5.avg pacvkage at NIT hamirpur tops at 12 LPA meanwhile
the avg package here at IEC is just 4-5
6.the crowd over an NIT compared to any other colleges (except bits, iiits, and other such high level colleges)
is much better compared
7.the fact adjoined to such dominant colleges is that they provide a boost of opportunity.
