If we compare both the institutions on the basis of studies, faculty, quality if education and placements, I would totally recommend you vit Vellore over thapar university. Teachers in vit Vellore are exceptionally good and also you can choose your own teacher which is the best part
In terms of placement: thapar is above VIT. COLLEGES OF SIMILAR LEVEL CAN ONLY BE COMPARED WITH EACH OTHER. The highest salary package offered was 43 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 11 LPA. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT. Thapar university is better over CU in many terms such as placements, crowd, facilities, reputation etc. However, Thapar charges more than CU but it is worth to take admission in Thapar. Chandigarh University B.E. (Hons. ). In CSE (Information Security) in Collaboration with IBM course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 21 genuine verified students while VIT Vellore same course is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 9 students at Shiksha. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is better than VIT. The probable CMC Vellore cutoff for NEET is around 625+ (general category). For students from SC/ST category, the required cutoff is around 535. For sponsored candidates, the required cutoff is lower. The required cutoff for sponsored category students stays around 550+. Generally, most sponsoring bodies have tough competition as well.
