Eligibility Criteria:
The basic eligibility for admission to BCA is a pass in 10+2 examination in any stream from any recognized board of education with English as a subject of study. Some colleges prefer students from science stream or who have studied mathematics and computer science at 10+2 level.

I completely agree with Akshay Bajaj's answer. VLSI stream has great scope and the Industry needs resources in huge numbers. India is a highly attractive destination for global R&D centers owing to the availability of talent, as well as lower cost, compared with the US and Western Europe. No, it is not mandatory but you should have knowledge of basic maths as some of the applications are important in the course.

If you already have work experience in the IT sector before doing your MBA, then looking for higher up positions in the same technical ladder would make sense and would be easy too.
