IES is all about maintaining accuracy with speed as you have to attempt 150 questions in 180 minutes in technical and 100 questions in 120 minutes in non tech. Thus, test series plays a very important role, so you should not ignore the part tests and subject test initially. Give the test of a particular subject just after completing that one. Attempting test will not be beneficial if you don't analyze it and bookmark important ones. Just follow a simple pattern in your study that you have to complete a particular subject in particular time (eg.15-20 days) and then you have to give the test and analyze the performance. You can buy online test series of a particular institution initially. In the month of September-October, coaching institutes conduct offline test series, you can join them. Last but not the least, don't get demotivated during preparation even when you will get less marks in tests because IES exam checks your patience and continuity, so keep trying and you will succeed for sure. Well, it is not that easy to pursue a career in travelling and not everyone can achieve it in the first go. Below are few things that I think one should possess to become a host in these international travel networks:
Good communication skills - verbal, kinesics & proxemics. Good vocabulary
An inward flowing passion to travel and experience 'never like before' adventures. Should be up-to-date on general knowledge - specifically the historical specifics of places etc. (Once you land on the job you might have fact checkers, but to land there you should do some homework)
Should have traveled many places atleast within the home country so that you can show yourself as one who is aware of the travel culture and someone who has the love to do it. Should be flexible with time, place and most important - MONEY (not all such jobs are well payed, at least in the initial days. ). Your perks will be free of cost travelling. Should have minimal / no personal commitments. This is the biggest barrier - many suppress their love for travelling or get stuck at this phase. I have seen/experienced travel plans being cancelled or postponed infinitely as buds. Overcome all these, keep exploring options and new places every now and then. Below are the 5 steps that will help you become a successful Mental Health Procedure.
1. Get a Bachelors Degree in Psychology
Earning an undergraduate degree is the first step toward becoming a mental health counselor. This will give you a general undergraduate education, and you can major in psychology or another related field.
2. Get an Advanced Degree in a Specialty
Next, a Masters or doctoral degree in mental health counseling is required, depending on the state you live in. Most states also require you to finish either a practicum or an internship as part of your studies.
3. Get Clinical Counseling Experience
Many states will also require a minimum of 36 months of full-time counseling or 3,000 hours of postgraduate mental health counseling under the supervision of an approved licensed mental health professional.
4. Take the Counselor Exam
States generally require you to pass an exam. Normally, either of the following exams is accepted: the National Counselor Exam or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Exam.
5. Apply for Licensure in Your State
In order to practice as a mental health counselor, you must be licensed by your state. State licensure conditions can vary so check your state regulatory board for specific requirements.
