Yes, if an Indian student has missed the September intake, they should progress quickly and apply for the March intake at Coventry.
But, the September is the main intake in the UK and also aligns with the academic calendar and placement drives.

If you miss the main September intake for the Coventry University admissions, then the January intake is a good and highly recommended backup option for Indian students.
The Coventry May intake is very limited and often not suitable for the main degree programs of this university.

No, Indian students who want to study at Coventry University have to submit IELTS or equivalent test scores (PTE). The minimum requirements in IELTS for Coventry are-
- UG- IELTS score of 6.0 with no component scores lower than 5.5 or minimum 60% in Class 12 English language
- PG- IELTS score of 6.5 with no component scores lower than 5.5 or minimum 65% in Class 12 English language
Students who do not meet the criteria given above can take Coventry University English Test.

While it is important to note that Coventry Uni will not accept active backlogs, the university may accept past backlogs of the studnets. The Universities in UK may accept 2-3 even 10-15 backlogs of a student, but for Coventry, students have to reach out the university. Also, the academic profile of the students must also be strong.

Yes, applying early at Coventry is a good idea. The reason being that Coventry uses rolling admissions with no strict admission deadlines for most of the PG courses.
Submitting your application early will help you secure your seat before the competitive programs fill up.
Additionally, it gives the students priority for scholarships and also provides enough time to sort out the finances and visas.

The Coventry University admissions have a mixed approach and it depends upon the degree level of the student. For Postgraduate courses, there is a rolling admissions policy but for the UG courses, Coventry has fixed deadlines (via the UCAS).

Also, Coventry University ranking in UK is among the Top 60 Universities in 2026. The admission intakes at this university is more than one, May, July, and September.
