Around 4 Lacs candidates appeared for CUET PG 2025 examinations to get admissions in the 157 subjects offered in master's degree and professional degree courses. As per the student reactions observed from YouTube and the Shiksha poll survey, this year the CUET PG 2025 exam difficulty level was higher than tha previous year. Candidates can expect a lower CUETPG 2025 cutoff than the previous year.
Overall the following CUET PG 2025 expected cut off can be a good score for the candidates to get admissions:
- General Category: 190-210
- OBC Category: 180-200
- SC Category: 170-185
- ST Category: 165-175

As per the information gathered from the YouTube channels, and candidates' exam video reactions, so far CUET PG 2025 overall exam difficulty level is found to be moderate. However it has been observed that the test takers have found this year's CUET PG question paper to be more difficult compared to the last years. Also, candidates found the time shortage in the examination due to the demand of the question paper to use more conceptual and analytical skills than theoretical ones.
The change in the CUET PG 2025 time duration has given test takers a disadvantage in subjects like Mathematics, Statistics

To effectively prepare for CUET PG for M.Sc., you need to first of all know and understand the syllabus of the exam, which you will be able to find on Shiksha. Then you need to complete your syllabus properly either online or offline mode, whichever fits you well. You can also take help from free resources available on YouTube. You need to keep a strong focus on self-study so that the concepts fit in your mind properly. The admission in IMS DAVV Indore for MBA (Finance) under CUET-PG is done on the basis of merit ranks. While 70% may be a competitive score, cutoffs do vary each year based on candidates and seat availability. The closing rank for MBA in 2024 was around 106. For admission to the M.Sc. Chemistry programme at BHU through the CUET PG exam candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree with Chemistry as a major subject studied in all years securing a minimum 50% marks in Science subjects. So english is not as a compulsory subject for examination purposes.

For the M.Sc. Biotechnology in the CUET PG examination, opt for the "Life Sciences" subject (Code: SCQP17). It encompasses Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and allied topics, synchronizing with most universities' syllabi, like DU or JNU. It includes such topics as molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology-basic to any biotech program.
Instead of this, "Biotechnology" (the code will change for different offerings) could become an option if they offer it, but Life Sciences will be accepted widely.

The fee for CUET PG 2025 depends on the number of subjects chosen for the examination. For up to 2 papers, the fee structure is INR 1200 for General, INR 1000 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 900 for SC/ST/PwD (additional papers would cost INR 600 each). Alongside the syllabus prescribed for admission to postgraduate courses, it also includes domain-specific topics relevant to coursework undertaken in undergraduate studies.
By way of illustration, a scenario where an M.Sc. programme covers Physics or Chemistry or Math, while subjects in the M.A. could include History or that of English, will be discussed. It has 75 MCQs stressing core knowledge
