For admission to the M.Sc. Chemistry programme at  BHU through the CUET PG exam candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree with Chemistry as a major subject studied in all years securing a minimum 50% marks in Science subjects. So english is not as a compulsory subject for  examination purposes.

For the M.Sc. Biotechnology in the CUET PG examination, opt for the "Life Sciences" subject (Code: SCQP17). It encompasses Biotechnology, Biochemistry, and allied topics, synchronizing with most universities' syllabi, like DU or JNU. It includes such topics as molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology-basic to any biotech program.

Instead of this, "Biotechnology" (the code will change for different offerings) could become an option if they offer it, but Life Sciences will be accepted widely.

The fee for CUET PG 2025 depends on the number of subjects chosen for the examination. For up to 2 papers, the fee structure is INR 1200 for General, INR 1000 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 900 for SC/ST/PwD (additional papers would cost INR 600 each). Alongside the syllabus prescribed for admission to postgraduate courses, it also includes domain-specific topics relevant to coursework undertaken in undergraduate studies.

By way of illustration, a scenario where an M.Sc. programme covers Physics or Chemistry or Math, while subjects in the M.A. could include History or that of English, will be discussed. It has 75 MCQs stressing core knowledge

There are many other options for admissions even if you fail to crack the CUET PG examination.

 Universities like;

Mizoram university 

Nagaland university 

Assam University 

Sikkim university 

And also there is state level examinations like PUCET, KIITEE

And TS DOST.

And also many private universities does not see CUET scores and may admit directly based on the application.

For CUET PG admission to Delhi University (DU) under the Sports and Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces (CW) quotas, candidates must appear in CUET (PG) and apply through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS (PG). For ECA and Sports supernumerary seats, a weightage of 25% is given to CUET score and 75% to certificates/trials/performances.

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for academic session 2025-26. Central University of Punjab also conducts MSc admission via CUET PG scores.

The Central University of Punjab accepts CUET PG scores, followed by a counselling process for admisison to the MSc course. Central University of Punjab CUET PG cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, 2, 3 and 4 for General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories.
