I am afraid, COEP does not have this facility. But you indeed can seek lateral admission in COEP by following procedure laid down by DTE, Maharashtra on their website.

I have some relevant information which I would like to share with you. There is one university which is offering direct final year degrees UG/PG for discontinued students like BA, BBA, B.Sc, MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA, BE and MBA.
This university is approved by UGC, DEC, NAAC Accredited and listed on the PSC exams websites.

You can appear for CAT (entrance for MBA). MBA in banking and finance is a good career option that you can pursue.

If you really know writing and the skills of storytelling then, there is no need to have a degree in mass communication. Even now there are a number of stringers who are working for news channels and newspapers but they don't have any degree. That doesn't mean they are not reporters. They are doing well and the organisations are paying well as like other ones. But some organisations have a procedure for appointment of reporter.
