In your UG, the required percentage is minimum 60% and in the entrance exam, it depends upon the exam.

After completing your Diploma, I feel it's the best that you go for a degree. This is so since there will be continuity of studies. You can do other smaller duration courses after your graduation or even after you have taken up a job.

If you want to make use of Diploma, then your choice of the branch is dependent on the ones which your state allows. Normally similar branch is allowed. Else, you have to appear for CET to seek admission in the 1st year of engineering in the branch you wish provided of course that you have completed 12th.

You should note that different colleges have SET different fees for the same degree. Please tell for which college you want to know the fees.
