It is the difference between the two branches. Electronics and Communication (ECE) is more software oriented while EEE is a core subject dealing with machines. ECE has more job scope in the private sector while EEE has more scope in the government sector.

Just be clearing GATE it's not possible for you to get admission in IITs. You have get a good rank eligible to take admission in IITs. And if you pursue your M.Tech in any of the top IITs then you get placed with high packages in good companies.
