Admission to the Electrical Engineering (EE) branch in any institute or college depends on several factors, such as your JEE Main score, rank, category, and the availability of seats in the respective college.
However, with a percentile of 79 and OBC rank of 79930, it may be difficult to secure a seat in the Electrical Engineering branch in a top-tier college, especially if you are looking for admission under the OBC category.

Based on your JEE Mains rank of 68250 and OBC category, you can get admission in some of the NITs and IIITs. The candidates with a rank between 25,000 and 50,000 can get admission into NITs like NIT Roorkee, NIT Durgapur, NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy etc. The candidates with AJEE Main rank of 70k have a chance to get CSE admission in IIIT Pune, IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Dharwad and IIIT Kurnool2. However, admission criteria for these colleges may vary depending on the year and other factors. You can check the JoSAA website for more information on the admission process. I hope this helps. VTU is a better choice than autonomous. Autonomous colleges are those colleges that are affiliated to some university (most colleges are affiliated to VTU) but form their own syllabus and conduct their own exam. However, the degree is still awarded by VTU. Most other colleges follow the VTU syllabus and exam.
