Computer science and electrical engineering are very high paying branches. Hence, they are always preferred by toppers.
On the other side, mechanical, known as the 'ever-green branch' is not as ever-green as it seems. The demand is not very high, neither low in the current scenario, but one thing for sure, this field is never destined to decline.
