Well, each and every branch in engineering is good we can't compare them. Just there are few difference like mechanical Electrical and Civil these are evergreen branches but CS, IT and EC have high placement records.
Other than this, you may also take chemical metallurgy, mechatronics, etc.
So, choose the suitable branch.
Go for it.

You can apply but a very good GRE score of around 315 and above is necessary to get admission in a good university. It is best you begin research on the university admission requirements, check the GRE and TOEFL requirements and prepare accordingly.

Among all IIT's, IITD is best for electrical engineering. They have the best faculty who have published some really good books in their subject which are now standardized for that course.
