No doubt, ECE is extremely good branch. And, there is always a scope of Quality. If you have quality, then there is an endless scope in the field of electronics, telecommunication, robotics, automation, as well as software industries. If you really want to join automation industry after your degree, then it will really be helpful for you. Industries like Honeywell automation, Mitsubishi etc. Can give you a wonderful exposure. So, develop the skills add up these in your resume and keep going. Good luck.

mechanical engineering is good as compared to ECE as it is a core branch, and faculty and placements are also good in Thapar.
