Electronics and Communication Engineering

At MAIT, you'll most likely never find any teacher absent and every single teacher has a great knowledge of his or her subject. Thus, full marks for the faculty. There's no strictness in terms of attendance so you can get involved in anything constructive at the college or at home if you want to. The problem with MAIT is its societies. They aren't funded very well or for that matter even supported by the college much. There is a similar problem faced for the cultural fest of MAIT. Departmental societies, as well as cultural societies, need improvement, funding and support.
Jobs & Internships- Most of the companies that come for recruitment here are IT companies. Thus, there isn't much help for other core branches.

Placements: They say that they have good placements while you are joining the college but they fail to remain on their words. The college does not have a placement cell. The highest salary offered is 1.5 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, HP, and Avery come to our college. There is no placement cell.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is very bad. It doesn't look like an engineering college. All looks like a high school to me at least high school are far better than this. There is no cleanliness at all where you see the ground, parking lot. You have a lot of mosquitoes biting you. The labs you can say that are okay. Sometimes the food is good, and sometimes it's the worst, and everyone cannot sit in the canteen since it always crowded. Zero attention is given to sports. There is no encouragement for sports, and only the ones who have certificates are allowed for playing, whereas, others are not given any opportunities.
Faculty: The worst part is teachers, I don't know how these people recruit the teachers, some do not speak English properly, and they take classes for BE. Instead, we can only study at home. Teachers used to come blabber and go, that's all. The curriculum was a bit useful, but not completely. CMRIT might be better comparatively.
