EC definitely has more scope as nowadays everyone is mobile dependent and everyone has a mobile phone nowadays, companies like Reliance Jio is bringing in revolution in this sector and there is huge scope for it in the future.

Completely depends on your interest. Both are equally good branches and have a lot of scope in future.
If you have an interest in electronic devices, semiconductors and like to make robotic projects, go for Ece.
If you love mathematics and have a knack of coding, go for mce.
Even placement wise, both are really good branches.
