There are many good colleges offering B.E./B.Tech in ECE. All the colleges affiliated to a university will offer BE like RGTU, M.P. All the autonomous colleges will offer B.Tech.

ECE/ENTC will be a combination of theory and calculations. It includes equations of movement of electrons, the flow of current, charging/discharging of capacitors and calculations on antenna systems. It is a good blend of theory+practical+calculations.

Hello Arpit,
ECE branch has wide applications and also placement is good. On the other hand, Aerospace is a very specialised branch and hence jobs are very few. In view of this, I would advise you to go for ECE.

You may definitely pursue Journalism if your area of interests lies there but after completion of technical studies then pursuing journalism you may tend to waste your engineering degree. But better late than never if your core strengths and expertise involves journalism. Decide carefully weighing pros and cons in the long term.

ECE is a hardcore engineering branch will open door for you in Electronics, Telecom and IT companies. With CSE you have only career options in IT industry. BTech CSE graduates also compete with BCA, MCA, MSc, CS and B.Tech IT graduates for jobs in IT industry. Job competition is higher for CSE graduates & also their supply is very high vis a viz demand. Indian IT industry has started showing early sign of decline because of outcry against outsourcing in Western countries. If given a choice I will prefer ECE over CSE.

Hello Rekha,
I understand and appreciate your interest in pursuing Electronics and Communications Engineering. It is a very good branch of engineering. There are wide range of job opportunities for ECE students throughout the world. In fact in many public sector jobs in India, the students from ECE are highly recruited than any other group. The other advantage of this group is that students can easily drift from hardware field to software field if the familiar with some computer languages but the converse is not true. In the field of communication side, mainly in companies like BSNL, Nokia, and Motorola etc mainly students from ECE back
