I would suggest you to proceed with core Java + Advanced Java combination. Learning Core Java + Advanced Java combination on Unix/ Linux environment will be an added advantage.

1. Networking courses: You can do IT networking course of 2 months in which you will study the topics related to networking like LAN, WAN, MAN, Protocol, etc.

Both Jadavpur university and NIT Durgapur are excellent colleges for studying Civil and ECE graduation degree. Jadavpur university has slight edge in ranking over NIT Durgapur.
