Dear Abdul, both are not the same so comparing the two streams makes very little sense. Both have great demand in their respective areas, therefore you must decide which career path you want to follow, as an electronic engineer or an automobile engineer? Which is the one you are more passionate about and can have a long term goal associated?

Yes, ETC is a branch of engg. Moreover, it is a branch with high scope in recent future due to the use fibre optics and other such advanced ways for communication, opening new channels for jobs in many public as well as private sectors.

I am a final year ece student. i think its
Better to go In Cse than ece.the course is very hard if you are doing it from a government university. .Also there are less placement opportunities in the field of electronics in India. Only USA is a place to do an ece degree if you want good returns on your efforts.
also most companies come for computer grads in placements.even if u are an ece student they will want you to be proficient in computer languages in which you won't be proficient as your course doesn't encourage learning of Computer languages.
The coursework of ece is very hefty and doesn't leave the room for learning side things.

Both branches have good placement opportunity . For good placement college is also matter where are studied. If you are getting admission in IITS , NITs and other top colleges then better placement chance you will get.
