Hello! Himadri Basu, it is very nice to hear from you about enquiry of cutoff ranks or enquiry about possibilities of getting the branches you mention with ranking of about 1.2 Lacs. To put you into a proper perspective let me say that the first round closing rank for CSE was 7000 while for the other branches that you have mention it varies and is up to about 14000. This does not mean that you will not get admission, it only means that you need to wait for vacancies to arise as students who are in the better position leave for IIT or nits and then the students who have scored less get a chance for admission with lower scores. Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Seeing present scenario computer Science is far better than aerospace engineering in India. For aerospace only service based companies are there so work and salary can never satisfy you. Aerospace engineering requires a lot more analytical skills than computer Science. If a person is really interested in aerospace engineering and he is confident that he'll be the best engineer then only he should opt for aerospace engineering and after graduation he must go for higher studies then only aerospace engineering can be beneficial. While CS engineering provides a lot more opportunity. As we can SEE we are moving towards digitalization, everywhere we are seeing computers. Scope of computer Science is much better than aerospace. The scope of ECE is very high. You can join the IT industry, airlines, telecommunication, etc. Indian armed forces also provide jobs for electronics and communication engineers.
