According to me EEE, i.e, electrical and electronic engineering is a better option. The first year course will be common for all branches including detail study of Maths, physics and chemistry. Later from 2 year you will be having subjects only based on your branch some topics like semiconductors, some electrical circuits and kirchoffs laws etc. Scope of both are good but electrical and electronic may provide you extra advance knowledge and helps you for better Placements.

I'll prefer you to opt for the Electronics and Electrical engineering as this is the best branch that will have the awesome future and will be in the great demand as more and more electronics companies are setting up their manufacturing plants in India.

No, there is nothing like that. Almost, all the things that you need to know will be there.

See, in India, as of now, the increasing scope is of electronics only as there are very less manufacturing plants in India and only some companies are coming to India that will hire mechanical engineers, but in the electronics field, this is totally opposite and more and more companies are setting up there manufacturing plants in India.

See from the jobs point of view, the best is EEE instead of ECE as there are quality placements in the ECE but in EEE there are quantity placements but this also depends on the college.

In electrical and electronics engineering, you will study about the electricity generation and the equipments used in that like motors, wires, generators, etc., but in the electronics and communication engineering you will study about the manufacturing of the electronics products that is used for the communication like telephones, optical fibers, mobiles and many other things.
