At Emory University, applicants who do not use English as their primary language must demonstrate the ability to be successful in a rigorous English-speaking environment. Also, applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English at the time they apply. In order to fulfill this criteria, students must submit their English proficiency exam scores. However, students can skip submitting their ELP scores if they can demonstrate exceptional command of the English language through any one of the following criteria:

Emory University demands English language proficiency scores from all international students as an admission requirement. At Emory, if English is not a candidate's primary language, then they are required show that they’re able to succeed academically in a rigorous English-speaking classroom. Also, candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English at the time they apply.
