Colloquially speaking aerospace is the name of the industry which is in the field of manufacturing of aetonautical components. Aeronautical Engineering is the name of the subject. However in India, both these words are interchangeably used meaning one and the same thing. Yes, you can appear in IIT JEE examination after pursuing Diploma. All you have to require is that Diploma is from government recognized institutes. Good luck.
