M.Tech degree holders should be able to progress a little faster than fresh BE/B.Tech graduates, because the latter have a somewhat higher learning curve. Otherwise, as a researcher at one of the IITs, IISc, TIFR, or ISRO, or post-Ph.D as an academic professor/researcher, there is ample scope for M.Tech graduates.

For that, you can contact the college authorities as they can only let you know the exact date of commencement of the classes, as there may be spot round counselling going for vacant seats. So that's why they could be delaying the classes.

Hello Nikhil,Perhaps what you mean is list of different entrance exams for admission to engineering colleges across the country. But, it is very long. However, I will give an insight. Firstly, almost every state, barring few, conduct their own entrance exam. Then for NIT's and CFTI's there is JEE Mains. For IIT's one has to clear JEE Advanced also. Each of the deemed university conducts it's own entrance exam. Then in Karnataka all private colleges together conduct their own entrance.

Hope you are doing well. You must have passed HSC/equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical/ vocational subjects. In these subjects, taken together, you should have secured a minimum of 50 % marks. You must crack IIT or any entrance exam conducted by the state to be eligible to get admission for engineering. All the best.
