Perhaps the only examination on a state level that does not ask for domicile is the exam conducted by private Engineering colleges in Karnataka called COMEDK. All other examinations are normally conducted by the state governments and they invariably end up asking the domicile certificate. In other states the private Engineering Colleges perhaps have not got together as they did in Karnataka for having a common entrance exam and hence one needs to appear for and pass different exams of different unaided colleges if thinking of taking admission in that particular college. Best wishes to you.

The salary range varies depending on lot of factors. It is specific to an individual's ability, as well as the course he has opted for and also the company in question. For example tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 companies offer different range of salaries and that too, depends on role and responsibility.
