They must have obtained at least 45% aggregate in their bachelor's degree program, compared to 50% for general category candidates. There is no upper or lower age limit prescribed for TANCET counselling. Age is not considered a factor during the admission process. Similarly, while work experience may be valued by individual institutions during admission or placement, it does not influence eligibility for TANCET counselling itself.

No, appearing for the TANCET 2025 exam is mandatory for admission through the regular counselling process conducted by Anna University. Without a valid TANCET score, a candidate cannot participate in the centralized counselling. However, individual institutions may offer management quota seats which have separate eligibility norms.

Final year students who have appeared for their final semester/year examinations and are awaiting results can apply for TANCET counselling. However, they must produce proof of qualification, such as a course completion certificate or provisional degree certificate, during the counselling process. Admission will be provisional until they meet the eligibility criteria.
