The admission process will differ from one college to another. But, the general steps followed are mostly the same. You can start by checking the eligibility criteria of the college you want to take admission to. If it has merit based admissions, well and good. Otherwise, you must give relevant entrance exams like JEE Main and GATE for admission to Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology courses at UG and PG levels.
Next, you should fill out the college application form before the last date. The, after the exam results are out and you've got your rank and score, you have to go for the college counselling to get a seat for yourself in

The Pharmaceutical Engg. course duration is different and it depends on the course level. If you are studying a UG course in Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, it will spread across 8 semesters that will take up to 4 years to complete.
On the other hand, if you plan to go for a PG Pharmaceutical Engineering course, you will have to spend 2 years for the same, where the focus will be on research in the pharma field and will give you a deep understanding of the working processes. You should think carefully about your interests and passions before heading for a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology.
