These two colleges are the best for B.Tech in computer engineering. In terms of placements, it is all well as highly reputed companies come to both of these colleges.
For B.Tech, many people say that COEP is good because it is situated in Pune and now a days, Pune is a developing IT sector. Most of the IT companies are situated here in Pune.
COEP has a great opportunity for further studies.
Placement from this college is as good as the IITs. Campus of this college is also good and hostel for boys and girls as well.
The great thing about COEP is its academic education which is the best in this college. It has very good experienced faculties which are very highly educated.
For placements, both of these are the best but I think, it is little bit better in VJTI than COEP.

Although the preparation of JEE Mains and MH-CET is different because MH-CET is of 200 marks where is JEE paper is of 360 marks. Also, the quality and the way of asking the questions is different in JEE and MH-CET. An important part one should keep in mind should be that MH-CET students need speed and accuracy while solving the question paper as it is found very lengthy and time-consuming, so one should learn how to pick up easy questions first. Secondly, go through all the previous year's questions at least from 2010 onward so that one is aware of the paper pattern of and the syllabus of MH-CET because it may include some topics which are not included in JEE Mains. Hence don't waste studying those topics. It needs hard work of at least 6 to 7 hours but apart from the syllabus, try to focus as much as you can to increase your speed and accuracy. Give some mock tests, have an analysis of your situation and try to handle the pressure and panic one may have at the time of paper.

Basically, these seats are a bet and the highest bidder gets the seat. This basically happens in private engineering colleges because government ones are filing their seats by well-governed exams like JEE and other state examinations. And you should know these seats are for the students that failed to meet the required criteria or were unable to qualify the entrance exam. So, talking of the prestigious colleges through is a little bit hard because if a college is prestigious it won't have such quota and all students in the engineering college would be well screened.
