The placement record is not available but according to me, placement is not good and it is nearly nil for the mechanical branch as it is a new college that got it's own campus last year.

Rating and review of university is not that much good as I saw, but it depends upon you to take admission or not.

B.Tech lateral may the good option for you. Please apply through State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State website http://cetcell.mahacet.org/
After opening the home page of above website, apply through direct second year engineering (DSE). Complete your registration process and make the required payment. The admission are done through the CAP rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

Both the choices are good. But, your complain is about which is best for job abroad. As my point of view Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University both are better for your M.Sc course and your job related problem. Thank you.

No, they won't be eligible for IIM. You are supposed to have your provisional certificate at the time of admission or you must have a significantly good reason for your year gap.
