Every college or university has different procedures. Some have their own entrance exams while others offers entrance without any exam or counselling (these are mostly private colleges or universities). Entering in B.Tech after Diploma is called lateral entry as you will be admitted directly in 2nd year. In College of Engineering, Shivaji Nagar: Interested candidates can apply online/offline with the required information. Admission is based on the marks obtained in Diploma. Candidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
