Most students in engineering colleges below IITS and even many from the IITS are placed in one of the following mass recruiters:
TCS
INFOSYS
COGNIZANT
WIPRO among many others.
To a fresher BE (the stream doesn't matter. Good thing is, they don't differentiate) these companies offer a salary somewhere in the range of INR. 3.253.6 Lakhs per annum. About 70% of the students are placed in companies with average salary in this range.
A salary of around INR. 57 lakhs is considered above average and companies like BNP Paribas, Oracle, Mu Sigma etc. offer salary in this range. 15% of students are placed in this salary bracket.
