Aerospace Engineering is more related to designing and building of aircrafts and helicopters. So you will require knowledge of mechanical and construction alongwith Physics. If you are interested in subjects like Thermodynamics, Propulsion, Heat Transfer, Aircraft structures, Flight Mechanics than Aeronautical Engineering is better option. As Aeronautical deals with dynamics of flight in air and atmospheric space.

Yes, like any other engineering branch you need to have above 60% in class 12th (PCM) to get into Engineering college, so you can go for Aeronautical Engineering.

When you are appearing for the Engineering Counselling programme, ensure you take the original Documents like Statement of Marks of SC (10th standard) & HSC (12th standard), Transfer Certificate from School, Caste Certificate (if Required), Aadhar Card, Invitation for Counselling, etc.

You have passed HSC (PCM Group), so you are eligible to pursue an Engineering Course from any Engineering Colleges in Chennai/ Tamil Nadu through Counselling. But, CEG, Anna University will have huge competition with High Scores.
