Eligibility to be a Lecturer:
- Educational Qualification To be eligible to be a lecturer one should hold at least a Master Degree in any of the relevant subject with at least 55% marks in it. Higher qualifications are always preferred.
- Interested candidate has to appear in MH SET exam which is held twice a year and pass it.This is the only hurdle to be cleared to be eligible to get a job as a lecturer In a college.
- After clearing MH SET exam one is eligible for applying as a lecturer in any college affiliated with any of the university recognised by UGC in Maharashtra. Clearing of MH SET does not gives guarantee of any job it is just

All candidates who have passed Diploma courses in any discipline from SLIET or from any other Polytechnic affiliated with any State Board of Technical Education and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) securing 55% marks or CGPA 5.5 on 10-point scale or equivalent (50% or CGPA 5.0 on a 10-point scale or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to reserved category, SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PH) are eligible to compete for admission to the appropriate B.E. programmes.

Candidates should be a minimum of 18 of age in order to be eligible to apply for the Mizoram TET exam. There is no upper age limit for the Mizoram TET exam. The educational qualification to apply for the Mizoram TET exam has been given below for the candidates:
Primary
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
- Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed)
Upper Primary
- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary

No, it won't be a problem. You should have obtained at least 50% in the qualifying degree exam. Backlogs will not affect your enrollment for the Entrance examination. I got 6 backlogs in my previous semester (5th semester), and I think I will get 2 or 3 backlogs this semester also.
