The WBCS exam is conducted by the state government of West Bengal to recruit candidates for various positions in government departments. The exam is held once a year in three stages, and the updated exam pattern is as follows:
1. The first stage of the WBCS exam is the preliminary stage, which consists of one paper of general studies only.
2. The main exam is the second stage, which includes six compulsory and two optional papers of any subject you choose in your application. This paper is only for those opting for Group A and Group B services.
3. The four main papers are objective in nature and are as follows: (a) General Studies I (b) General Studies II (c) The Constitution of India and the Indian Economy (d) Arithmetic and the Reasoning Test
4. The language, essay, and optional papers have descriptive-type questions.
5. Except for the language paper, you can give the main exam in only English or Bengali.

The UPSC holds the Combined Medical Services Exam to select doctors for positions in various government agencies. The UPSC CMS exam pattern is as follows, according to the latest notification:
1. There are a total of two stages in the CMS, unlike most three-stage exams.
2. The first stage is a written exam worth 500 marks out of a total of 600.
3. This stage has two objective-type papers, each worth 250 marks, and 120 questions.
4. The time limit to attempt both papers is two hours.
5. These papers are as follows: (a) Paper 1:General Medicine and Pediatrics (b) Paper 2: Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine
6. There is negative marking of one third for wrong answers in both papers.
7. Those who qualify at this stage are called for the personality test, also known as the interview.
8. This stage consists of 100 marks out of 600

The UPSC administers the Combined Geo-Scientist Exam to select candidates for jobs such as geophysicists, geologists, and Scientist B. The pattern of the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Exam is as follows:
1. The exam is conducted in three stages, like the CSE exam.
2. Stage I is preliminary and consists of two objective-type papers. Each paper is worth 200 marks.
3. There is a negative marking in the preliminary paper for wrong answers.
4. The Stage-II is Main exam having three Descriptive Type papers having total of 600 Marks
5. The final stage is the personality test, with a total score of 200.
6. The marks obtained in each stage are used to determine the final merit list. The total score for the merit list is 1000.
7. The duration of the prelim is two hours for each paper, and the duration of the main paper is three hours for each.

The MAT exam is conducted for admission to management courses such as MBA and PGDM at the top management colleges in India. The exam is conducted in three modes: CBT, PBT, and IBT, and the exam pattern is the same for each mode. The MAT exam follows the following pattern:
1. The exam duration is 150 minutes.
2. The MAT exam is divided into five sections with a total of 200 questions.
3. Each section has 40 questions, and each question carries one mark.
4. The sections are as follows: (a) Language Comprehension (b) Mathematical Skills (c) Indian & Global Environment (d) Data Analysis & Sufficiency (e) Intelligence & Critical Reasoning
5. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong response.

The SEED exam is administered by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) in order to admit students to its design courses. The updated SEED exam pattern is as follows for the 2023 admission cycle:
1. The exam consists of three stages: a written exam, a portfolio review, and personal interaction.
2. The written exam is conducted in online mode and has 150 multiple-choice questions.
3. The time to complete the written test is 2.5 hours, and one mark is allotted to each question.
4. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer in the SEED online test.
5. Applicants for the Portfolio Review must upload their portfolios to the official college website.
6. The portfolio will be reviewed by panel and may contain Sketches, mixed-media illustrations, art-inspired products etc.

The All India Bar Examination is conducted to certify lawyers to practice in India. The updated exam pattern for the AIBE exam is as follows:
1. According to AIBE XVII-2022, it will be conducted both online and offline.
2. The total duration of this exam is 3 hours, 30 minutes.
3. There will be 100 objective-type questions on 19 law subjects.
4. Each question carries one mark, and AIBE will not receive any negative marking.
