The Bar Council of India (BCI) will release the updated exam pattern of AIBE (17) 2022 along with the exam schedule. The exam pattern outlines the structure and format including, test mode of AIBE 2022 exam, the types of questions asked, marking scheme, language options, and other details. It is important for applicants to check the exam pattern as BCI may modify it. For example, the AIBE exam was previously conducted as an open-book exam, but from AIBE XVI session, the exam is no longer an open-book exam. Therefore, candidates can no longer carry books, notebooks, and any type of textual material with them inside the exam hall. Only bare acts are allowed, provided they don't contain any notes. AIBE Exam Pattern 2022

The AIBE (17) 2022 syllabus mentions 19 topics from which questions will be framed in the certification exam. Note that the weightage carried by these topics is unequal. For example, Constitutional Law will contribute 10 questions (or 10% weightage) whereas topics like Intellectual Property Law will only contribute only 2 questions (or 2% weightage). This means the candidate mustn't spend disproportionate time preparing for topics with little weightage but use their preparation time judiciously.

In AIBE, one mark is allotted for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for questions marked incorrect or left unanswered.

A: The exam date for AIBE (17) 2022 is expected to be held within next three months as confirmed by the bar council in a SC hearing held on August 2. Tentatively, the exam will be held before November ends.
