It's very nice to hear from you are interested in doing your graduation in food technology from ICT Mumbai. However I could not lay my hands on any paper or information where ICT talks of lateral admission. It is understood that it is not allowed. But if you reside in Mumbai then I would advise you to go to Matings and find out from the institute itself. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about different aspects of the admission process of ICT.

1. Thinking that no job opportunities for a Bachelor degree and/or for microbiology
2. Recently developed an interest in food technology, so you could pursue Ph.D or get a dream job in the same domain (or you decided to join with friends pursuing food technology).
However, if you still have interest in microbiology, there are definitely varied opportunities for microbiologists. Instead of doing M.Sc, you could do a job oriented Diploma course like certificate program in quality control microbiology, one such course is offered
