In such cases, try to visit the website and login back to your account to check the GATE payment status. If the application fee has been submitted sucessfully, then you can proceed to download and print the confirmation page. If not, then try making the payment again. However, if any amount has been debited from your bank account, but not received the acknowledgement for fee payment, then the money will be credited back to your account in few days.

  • In case of UPI payment, it might take 24 to 28 hours and
  • In case of debit/credit card, it might take a week for processing the transaction.

Category certificate is required to avail the concession in application fee. OBC candidates who want to appear in the GATE examination need to submit their category certificate at the time of registration. When it comes to filling in the application form, there is a certain relaxation in fees for category students. To avail the concession, candidates need to showcase their OBC certification.
