To register for the GATE exam, candidates must visit the official website—gate2025.iitr.ac.in—and register at the GOAPS portal. The GOAPS portal was activated on August 28, 2024, for the GATE 2025 application form. The last date to submit the GATE application form is September 26, 2024 (without late fees) and October 11, 2024 (with late fees). 

International students who wish to take admission at master's program at TUM Munich must submit a valid GMAT score. Some MS degree programs require a GATE or GRE score. Currently, the GRE and / or GATE scores are relevant for these programs:

PSUs that offer recruitment through GATE offer a competitive salary package. The average pay scale can range between INR 24 900 and INR 1,80 000 monthly. Candidates can also enjoy various allowances, such as House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance (MA), Dearness Allowance (DA), and other perks and benefits.

The engineering streams eligible for BHEL recruitment through GATE are -

• Electrical Engineering (EE)
• Mechanical Engineering (ME)

The PSU recruitment through GATE scores requires the following criteria -

• Age-Limit - The minimum age limit is between 21 to 28 years.

• Minimum Qualifying Marks - The minimum qualifying percentage for PSU recruitment can be around 50 to 60%.

• Medical Fitness - Candidates must meet the medical requirements set by the authorities during the recruitment. 

• Nationality - The candidate’s nationality must be Indian.

The PSU recruitment through GATE is based on the candidate’s performance in the GATE examination. Some of the reputed PSUs that offer recruitment through GATE scores are - 

• Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)

• Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL)

• National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC)

• Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL)

• Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)

Some other well-known PSUs include ONGC, NHPC, Power-Grid, NALCO, IOCL, etc. 

The GATE rank for admission to IIT Bombay may vary yearly. Candidates are advised to check the official website for notifications. Once the GATE 2025 result is released, we will also update the cutoff ranks on our page.

The previous year’s cutoff and rank trends show that the ideal GATE rank for IIT admission is around 200 or lower. However, the competitive range for GATE scores for IIT admissions falls between 400 and 800. Candidates must check the official website of the IITs to check the cutoff and ranks (stream-wise).

GATE is considered a prestigious entrance exam that offers admission to postgraduate studies in renowned institutes like IITs, NITs, IISc, and GFTIs. Qualifying GATE has the following benefits -

• Candidates can opt for higher studies.

• With a valid GATE score, candidates can also opt for research work, such as Junior Research Fellowship in top institutes and laboratories.
