• Admission to postgraduate courses, such as MTech/M.E/M.S in top institutes like IITs, NITs, and IISc. Candidates can also the use the GATE scorecard in reputable government institutions and international universities, like National University of Singapore (NUS). 
• Candidates can use their GATE scorecard in Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) recruitment. Many PSUs, such as GAIL, DRDO, BHEL, and ONGC recruit engineers based on the GATE scores. 
• GATE-qualified candidates can apply for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) opportunities.
• Apply for PhD programs in IITs, NITs, IISc, and other research-oriented institutions, and after publishing research papers as PhD thesis, candidates can apply for professor or lecturer post in IITs and NITs.

Yes, SRM accepts admission in M.Tech without GATE entrance examination, however, instead of GATE, one needs to appear in the SRMJEE (PG) examination for pursuing M.Tech in SRM Kattankulathur and TANCET or SRMJEE (PG) examination for SRM Ramapuram. You can choose between both the examination, depending upon your choice of campus and exam.
