There is an increasing demand for genetic engineers in India as well as abroad. Genetic engineers are mainly absorbed in medical and pharmaceutical industries, the agricultural sector, and the research and development branches of the government and private sectors. They can also take up teaching as an option. All the best.

Maths is not necessary in 12th grade for bsc (genetics) but there may be maths in grad curriculum which varies from university to university. Go through the course curriculum of the stream of the specific university in which you want to take admission. Generally there is maths in first two semesters of grad curriculum. All the best. Thank you.
