This would depend a lot on your interest areas and career aspirations.
If you want to technical/research based areas then MS is good. However, if you are keen on a general management area then you should go for MBA.

Hi Sion Raymonds,
Backlogs are not good if you are applying to German universities. You can try applying but it will be a challenge. Admissions will depend on your overall admission profile, SOP, LORs, project works, research, publication, etc. Check with DAAD India, attend some workshops and see if you can be eligible for a few of the universities or keep other country options open.

Hi Suraj,
Free colleges in Germany are extremely competitive, for admissions you must have more than 80% or so and be fluent in the German language. There is no placement concept, they are world famous universities and have industrial tie-ups. You must network and take assistance from the student support and career cell.

HI Rahul, RWTH Aachen, TU Munich, TU Berlin, Heidelberg University, University of Stuttgart are among the best ones. There are many more. You can check the DAAD India website for more options. You have to take the IELTS and have German language fluency depending on the university's admission requirement. You may choose to take GATE but not at all compulsory. Basically they admit basis Bachelor degree percentile.

Please refer to the link provided below for details regarding MS courses from Germany. You might have to appear for the GRE exam which is a pre-requisite for MS courses in many colleges abroad. You may also have to clear an english proficiency test which measures your ability to communicate in english. However, if the medium of instruction was english in your school you may not have to appear for the language test. Other than that you can browse different college which offer MS courses in Germany at the link provided below.

Hi Supriya, for MBA in Germany and many places abroad applicants must take the GMAT and IELTS or TOEFL. You can also take GRE in place of GMAT.

Hi Vignesh,
6.42 is a very poor CGPA for Germany but don't be discouraged as you will find many good options like in Spain, Poland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Denmark etc. You may also have to get your degree assessed by the concerned university abroad.
