Hi Shaily,
The cost of education in Germany is quite low. While public universities are almost free (they charge a semester fee ranging from Euro100 to 250), private universities may charge up to 16,000 Euro per semester.

Dear Akash,
The answer will depend on many factors for example which university in India are you referring to. If you get through IIT you need not think of going someplace else I believe. IIT is world famous. However, when it comes to research work, research labs, faculty, infrastructure, global exposure then Germany is what I would prefer. TU Berlin, TU Munich etc. are some of the famous universities in Germany.

Following are few of the basic points:
1. Degrees from Germany are respected and recognised worldwide.
2. German education is more research oriented.
3. If you are planning to work in India, go for an Indian degree. Pursuing your higher studies from Germany will help you to get the global exposure.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
You can take either one of these exams. They are English language proficiency tests. You can opt for GRE or GATE, if the university requires it or if your profile demands it.

Hi Devarsh,
To study in Germany entrance exams like GRE etc is not required. If your profile is average, only then take GRE or GATE. You must also take IELTS or TOEFL. German language knowledge is also recommended but not mandatory as most universities offer MS programs in English welcoming more and more international students.
