Dear Abhishek, Feststellungsprufung is the assessment test for gaining entry into German universities. You must enroll into a Studienkollege firstly, complete the Studienkollege courses and clear the Feststellungsprufung. Studienkollege for your information can be taken only in Germany in a German university. You can visit university assist, daad website or any university for this information. No dear, diplomas are not accepted. If you have completed 10+2 you need to meet certain requirements
1. Successfully completing the first year of a Bachelor programme from a recognized university in India in the relevant subject field or
2. Successfully clearing the IIT Joint Entrance Examination for admission to courses in technology and natural sciences or
Passing the qualification assessment examination in Germany, called Feststellungsprüfung .

There was a MOU 3-4 years back but nothing is there currently. However, if you are interested for any such thing then you can find out a relevant summer school, convince your batch-mates and the faculty and go on your own expenses. For instance I and 4 other batch mates of mine are going to Czech Republic for a summer school with jamias approval but we are financing the entire thing on our own.

Hi,
University of Passau, University Heidelberg, TH Köln (University of Applied Sciences), RWTH Aachen, TU Munchen are some ideal options. Refer to DAAD website for a complete list and requirements. Eligibility varies, Germany overall is extremely competitive hence you would need an outstanding academic record, an IELTS or TOEFL score. German language knowledge will be beneficial. Is automotive software a good choice ? This is something you must answer, if it suits your career needs. As per reports the field is quite new and in - demand. Germany is a hub. So, if you do well you have bright prospects ahead.

Hi Pooja, GRE is not required for admissions in any German university. However, good GRE scores can increase your admission chances. If you are planning to take the GRE a score above 310 would be good.
