Applicants must generally clear the IELTS or TOEFL for both Bachelors or Masters programs. GRE, SAT etc are not usually required. High academic grades are mandatory. Some universities may ask for German language proficiency.

Every university has a unique study program and they set their own criteria for admitting students. International students generally need to clear IELTS or TOEFL. No other exams usually are asked for. You must have an outstanding academic performance overall. Go through the DAAD website to learn about studying in Germany.

GRE is not required to get admissions in German Universities. However, if your academics are average you can consider taking the GRE and a score of 310 and above is recommended. To give you a proper guidance, can you clarify what you want to study and also mention your education background?
