Indian students must have an APS Certificate before applying. Other essentials include your Passport, IELTS/TOEFL scores, Transcripts (10th, 12th, Degree), SOP, CV, LORs, and proof of a Blocked Account with €11,904 for the visa.

You should apply between May and July 15, 2026. However, since many top universities like TUM have earlier deadlines in March or April, and Uni-Assist takes 6 weeks to process documents, aim to submit everything by early June.

The Winter Intake officially begins on October 1st, 2026. The important lectures start in mid-October. But international students should arrive by September for orientation. This semester runs for six months, ending in March 2027.

To obtain an APS certificate students have to submit a passport size photo plus a copy of the following docs mentioned below
- APS fee transfer receipt
- Adhaar Card
- Passport
- Class X Marksheet
- Class XII Marksheet
- Class XII admit card (PG)
- Bachelors degree (PG)
- Masters degree/transcripts (PG)
- TestAS Result
- Language Certificate (German/English)
- Student Authorization Letter (German/English)
- Pre-University Entrance Exam participation proof

Students must hold UG degree from a recognised uni plus provide proof of English proficiency with at least 6.0 in IELTS (minimum 5.5 in each component)/ at least 50 in PTE to apply for MA in Germany
Also note that minimum age requirement to study Masters in Germany is 21 plus a residence permit will also be required

No, usually you cannot go direct. Germany follows 13 Years Education system. After Indian 12th, you must do a 1-year foundation course called Studienkolleg there. Or, you can complete First Year of College in India for direct entry.

Yes, you can do two degrees (called Doppelstudium), but it is very hard. You usually need permission from the university. In Dual Study, you already work and study, so doing another degree is almost impossible due to time limits.
