There is no fixed percentage, but it's better to have at least 70% marks in Class 12. Some top universities and technical courses like engineering may ask for 75–80% or more. Also, they may check your marks in specific subjects like maths or science. Higher marks give you a better chance of getting admission in Bachelor's in Germany.

In Germany, there is no course called BTech. Instead, students apply for:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), or

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

These are same as BTech and cover all the engineering subjects like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Computer Science.

No, JEE Mains is not directly accepted in Germany. But, if you are an Indian student and you have:

  • Finished Class 12 with required subjects

  • Cleared JEE Advanced, or

  • Done 1 year of college in India, or

  • Completed a Studienkolleg (foundation course) in Germany

Then you can apply for engineering courses like B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Germany. You also need to show your English or German language skills, depending on your course.

Yes, Germany is very good for engineering studies. It has many top-ranked engineering universities, and most of them are tuition-free. You also get good job options after graduation.

Many German colleges work with big companies like BMW, Siemens, Bosch, so students get practical training and chances for internships. Also, the degrees from Germany are accepted worldwide.

You can apply for September intake in Germany from early March 2025. Check the deadline of the universities you want to study in and apply at least a month before your deadline. Don't delay in replying to university emails.
