The process of getting into IIM with GMAT score is little tricky. You need to work outside India for atleast 18 months and during CAT examination, you should not be in India. If you fulfill these criteria you can apply with GMAT Score.

You should pursue MIM. For MBA, you will need to work for couple of years more. In your scenario, MIM seems to be the perfect fit, with some work experience by your side and a good GMAT/GRE score. It will be easier for you to land at a good b-school.

Dear Shaik, GMAT is preferred, but if you may find it tough you can consider taking the GRE. IELTS or TOEFL are English proficiency tests, you can give either one. Foreign MBA also requires applicants to have work experience, without which you will not be accepted unless you have an outstanding profile. Visit some university websites and try to understand the eligibility requirements, this will help you prepare.

NMAT, the entrance exam for admission to MBA programme in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) will no longer be owned and conducted by NMIMS instead the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has taken over the ownership of the test. Now for admission to MBA programme 2016-18 in NMIMS, candidates will appear for 'NMAT by GMAC' instead of NMAT only.

If you are planning to study in a US business school, you must score high in this exam. For international students, GMAT is required not just for admission but also for student visa. Your chances of getting a student visa to US are weakened if you do not take the GMAT, even if you have an admission from a business school.
