No it's not only for chefs but there are four main departments in a hotel and they are-Front office, food and beverage service, Housekeeping and Food production (this is where the chef's are). After the completion of your BHM course you can choose to work at any of these departments and there are many more career opportunities like you can join a cruise liner or work with a airline and many more other jobs.

Yes, you can go abroad after you get your degree. But first, you need some good experience in a 5star hotel for at least 2 years to get a good job. You can apply for cruise ships and work with airlines as well.

In my opinion, when it comes to hotel management, the more comprehensive the course the better off you will be in your professional career. BHMCT short for Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, covers a wider field of study as compared to BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management). So, if you are looking to become a hospitality professional, I would recommend that you go for a BHMCT programme since that will give you a more comprehensive outlook of the hotel and catering industry. Also, go through all the programme details thoroughly so that you can make an informed decision about what is right for you and your career.
