IIEST Shibpur - Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology

Indian Institute of engineering Science and Technology Shibpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and other courses to students. At the undergraduate level, the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology IIEST offers BTech, BArch, and other courses to students. At the PG level, the college offers MTech,  MBA, and other courses to students. The college also provides PhD and other courses to students. M.Tech is provided in eight disciplines namely,  Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Mining, Electronics and Tele-Communication, Computer Science and Technology, Engineering Mechanics and Geoinformatics,  and others. 

The campus is situated adjacent to the A.J.C. Bose Indian Botanic Garden. It is around 20 minutes away by car from the heart of the city and approximately 90 minutes drive from the airport. The Howrah Railway Station is about 5 km away from the Institute. It takes only 10 minutes by car to reach the institute from the 2nd Hoogly Bridge. Hence, the transportation facilities are good which makes it possible for students to easily reach the college.

IIEST Shibpur arranges several fests and seminars for the UG and PG students. The college is a hub of extracurricular activities, events, and clubs that help UG and PG students grow as business leaders. There are several events that are organised on an annual basis and there are events that are organised in fixed time periods. IIEST Shibpur accepts JEE Main scores for the admission to BTech and BTech Integrated courses. Candidates preparing for IIEST Shibpur are only required to appear for the JEE Main entrance exam. Students who secure above the 75 percentile in JEE Main 2025 will have fair chances to secure a seat at the institute. Further, they need to start preparing for the counselling session. Candidates acquiring decent ranks in JEE Mains results must apply for round-wise counselling.

At the time of JoSAA 2025 Registration, candidates also need to fill choices of their preferred college and branch. The allotment of seats will be done based on the choices filled by the candidates by considering the All India Rank of candidates.
