Yes, the IIEST Shibpur follows a seat reservation policy for the MPlan. The institute follows the reservation policies of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. Candidates must present the certificates for EWS/OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/Person with Disability (PwD) as per the Govt. of India Rules. Additionally, there are 25 seats available for its MPlan programme. However, the number of seats available after completion of all rounds through CCMT in various schools, departments or center.

When it comes to the overall MPlan tuition fees,  SPA Delhi has a fee of INR 1.8 lakh, which is quite higher compared to that of IIEST Shibpur, which is INR 1.7 lakh. In 2024, the BArch cutoff at IIEST Shibpur witnessed a huge shift from previous years. The closing rank for the general category was 2166, whereas in 2023 it was 855 and in 2022 it was 1034. This upward trend in cutoff ranks shows that there is less competition for the programme this year. In addition, the cut-off ranks for the past three years have varied, indicating changing applicant performance and interest levels in the BArch programme, also indicating changes in demand as well as academic standards among potential applicants.
